Dental Marketing in the Netherlands

Dental marketing in the Netherlands works differently from almost anywhere else in Europe, because price isn't a weapon. The Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) sets maximum fees for dental treatment, so you can't win patients by undercutting the practice down the road. You win them on availability, speed, trust and how easy you are to book. That's exactly what good campaigns can show.

G-Media.AI has worked only with dental clinics since 2017. Here's how we'd approach your practice in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht or elsewhere in the Netherlands.

What makes the Dutch market different

  • Regulated maximum fees. Because the NZa sets maximum tariffs, "cheapest dentist" ads make little sense. We focus on what does differ between practices: whether you're taking new patients, how soon they can be seen, evening or weekend hours, and the people who'll treat them.

  • Basic insurance rarely covers adult dental care. For most adults, check-ups and treatment are paid privately or through supplementary dental insurance. Patients want to know what they'll pay and what their policy covers, so we make that clear on the landing page.

  • Dutch first, English where it fits. Most patients search in Dutch, even though most people speak excellent English. In Amsterdam, The Hague and Eindhoven, international residents often search in English for an English-speaking dentist. We can run both, with separate campaigns and landing pages. The Dutch copy is written by advanced AI copywriting agents that write like native speakers, and your team approves it before launch.

  • "Accepting new patients" is a selling point. Where practices have full lists, simply being able to take new patients is worth advertising. If you have capacity, we put it front and centre.

The rules we work within

Dental care in the Netherlands is regulated on several levels. Dentists are registered in the BIG register, the NZa sets the fee framework, and practices have to be open about their tariffs. Advertising falls under the Dutch Advertising Code (Nederlandse Reclame Code), which requires ads to be truthful and not misleading, and patient data under the GDPR, overseen by the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

In practice, that means our Dutch ads don't promise results, don't make price claims that conflict with NZa tariffs, and use only real patient feedback with consent. Cookie consent and tracking are set up so they respect visitors' choices. You approve every ad, and your practice stays responsible for its compliance.

Time zones, calls and pricing

The Netherlands is one hour behind us in Varna, Bulgaria, all year, so 9 am in Amsterdam is 10 am here. Calls fit neatly into the same working day. Proposals and ad budgets are quoted in euro, and you pay ad spend directly to Google and Meta on your own card.

How we'd start with your Dutch practice

  1. Free 30-minute call. Treatments, capacity, opening hours and whether you want Dutch, English or both.

  2. Competitor check. Who's advertising around you and on which searches.

  3. Campaigns. Google Ads by treatment and area, plus Facebook and Instagram ads with your dentist on camera.

  4. Fast replies. Our AI chatbot answers in seconds, and reminders on WhatsApp, Messenger and email cut no-shows.

  5. Weekly optimisation by booked appointments.

We guarantee 10–30 leads (patient enquiries) in your first month, or we keep working for free until we get there. If you place implants, look at our implant consult programme.

Frequently asked questions

How can we stand out if prices are capped?

By advertising what really differs: new-patient availability, short waiting times, opening hours, your team and how easy it is to book. Those are often the reasons patients switch.

Can you advertise in Dutch?

Yes. Most campaigns in the Netherlands run in Dutch. The copy is written by advanced AI copywriting agents that write like native Dutch speakers, and your team approves it before launch, and we can add English campaigns for international residents.

Can we target expats who want an English-speaking dentist?

Yes. In cities with large international communities, English-language campaigns for "English-speaking dentist" searches can work well alongside your Dutch campaigns.

How much does dental marketing in the Netherlands cost?

You pay ad spend directly to Google and Meta, plus our monthly management fee. There's no public price list. You'll get a written proposal in euro after the call.

Is there a long contract?

No. Flexible monthly packages. Only the implant consult programme has a 3-month minimum.
